Though most of the girls he approached have refused
to marry him, finally a fair and beautiful girl (Karthiga) comes forward to accept Sarathy in her life.
Sarathy is on cloud nine to get such a beautiful girl but his happiness is short lived, as he feels insecure of being an ugly husband of a beautiful wife. His complex makes him understanding everything wrong and the suspicion becomes his burden. How they overcome all hurdles and reunites forms the rest of the story.
The most positive thing about the movie is that it is filled with enjoyable lighter moments. The sentimental element is refreshingly underplayed. The scenes that depict the complexities of the protagonist's marital life have been etched out well up to a large extent.
Director Shivashanmugham, has made the first half as an engaging one with fun filled sequences. The intermission point, though a bit exaggerated, creates expectations for an engrossing second off. But the director has failed to live up to the expectations with some predictable proceedings. The 'Ajith' angle sounds fun but it is stretched too far to our comfort.
Shivashanmugam must be applauded for his dialogues, which are sharp at times and convincing in most of the times. The dialogues by the mother are particularly brilliant.
There is no denying the fact that Karunas has pulled off a wonderful performance in a role that fits hit well. The innocence and the suspicion elements have been well portrayed by the comedian, who handles the complexities of his character with ease. Karthiga, as a dedicated and simple wife of a person with inferiority complex, has done her part convincingly. She looks pleasant and acts with amazing ease. Saranya as the mother is excellent. Her expressions, body language and dialogue delivery are amazing. M.S. Bhaskar's comedy is enjoyable while Shanmugarajan as the father of Karthika is majestic. Music by Dheena is on average sides.just about ok.
The director has the courage to make the movie without cheap comedy and glamour. He has chosen right cast and succeeded in bringing out good performances from them.
The second off goes like the same old Tamil movies and all the next screen as expected by the audience
